David Nitkin is a one-stop planning, policy and communications professional able to conceive of initiatives, concepts and strategies and execute them effectively in a digital world. His experience and connections in the worlds of public affairs and media are unmatched, and he is skilled at taking complex issues important to the public, analyzing and distilling them into clear and concise choices, and delivering information about the preferred choice to drive debate and produce the desired outcome.

David has served as a Chief of Staff at a Johns Hopkins Health System hospital in Maryland, where he led strategy deployment, internal and external communications, executive team management, and government and community affairs.

Prior to that, he was communications and policy director for the Office of the Attorney General of Maryland, and for Howard County Executive Ken Ulman, working on initiatives ranging from discriminatory police profiling to broadband deployment and environmental sustainability. He also coordinated legislative affairs and grant funding.

David spent his earlier career as an award-winning journalist, holding positions at the Baltimore Sun including White House correspondent, Head of Maryland News Operations, Political Editor, State House Bureau Chief and Baltimore County Correspondent. He oversaw the integration of digital and print operations and staffing at the Sun, and led investigations into government accountability.

David holds degrees from Dartmouth College and the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government.

Mark Miller

Mark Miller’s powerful storytelling has received national honors from many organizations, including the American Bar Association, the National Thoroughbred Racing Association, and the Radio Television Digital News Association.  

After more than 20 years of leading WBAL Radio to news dominance in the Baltimore market, he moved to government communications in Howard County. Mark is a stellar photographer and the county’s primary videographer, producing hundreds of community profiles, mini-documentaries and informational messages.

Mark is the adoptive parent of a Chinese daughter, a gregarious and generous friend to many, and an avid guitar collector.  His favorite quote, from 60 Minutes creator Don Hewitt, is simply “Tell me a story…”
